Workshop friday 29.02
Fridays workshop was very fruitful in many apects… We really got the help we needed
even thoug we probably should run a workshop again soon. Because we did not have time to
complete the Stig&Stein method all the way trough.
The result of the workshop was some ideas into what social areas it would be interesting to
use RFID, like when you are a newbie or in social settings where nobody knows anybody.
Basically situations that are less comfortable.
At the end of the day we had at east 5 meter of ideas that needs to be refined.
Some of them are quite out there. But the common theme of the ideas are somewhat fun, which
means we are boarder lining into playful RFID…
The workshop startet off by letting the participants answer some questions we though would be useful as a warm up exercise, but also to give us some answers that can be helpful later.
The question had a lot to do with social object in context of social networks.
And a thougt that came to my mind then is that what we really should do, or what one can do with RFID,
is to USE RFID AS A NEW SOCIAL OBJECT.
After the question round we started the Stig&Stein method, and first we had free associations around the problem definition; How can we let people be more comfortable in new social settings?
After the session we grouped the words and named the groups:

All in all the worksop went quite well and I at least learnd that it is a powerful tool when creating a lot of ideas
and then it will be up to us to refine thees ideas to something useful.
